Children's Liturgy

St.Edmund's Parish welcomes children of all ages to participate in the Children's Liturgy which takes place every week at the 11am Mass.  The children go to their special room after the first hymn.  All children, and if they wish, their parent(s) are very welcome to attend.

We cover the Gospel of the day at a level the children can understand and enjoy. We have discussions, prayers, songs and usually do some colouring in or similar activity which is relevant to the message of the Gospel.

The children then take part in the Offertory procession, taking up the gifts and their pictures to Father Peter.

They then rejoin their parents for the remainder of the service.

Sion Community - Lots of stuff going on for young people including mission team, leadership training and youth programme for gap year students.


Youth 2000 - is an independent, international initiative that helps young adults aged 16-35 plug back into God at the heart of the Roman Catholic Church.

Young Catholic Workers - an organisation which links groups of young people/young adults together through friendship, formation and action.


Youth SVP- Youth SVP is a voluntary Christian organisation. When you join a Youth SVP group, you volunteer to offer one-to-one help and support to people in need in the local community.
